Zero Charisma is officially looking for members to fill our ranks for raiding Icecrown Citadel in the Wrath of the Lich King. So if we've asked you to come to our forums to "app" this is the post you need to read.

Our raid days (25 mans) are: Tuesday, Wednesday, Monday. Raid time starts at 6:00 server. Please be sure you will be available for most of these times.

From ZC applicants we require:
  • Can make all or most raids (Tues/Weds - members should not have consistant absences)
  • Ability to click "Accept" to guild calendar raid invites and provide sufficient notification for absences
  • Spec, gear, gems, enchants should be min/maxed for the spec
  • An overall understanding of class and boss mechanics
  • Can follow instructions in the application, as well as in game
Note: Invitation as a trial to Zero Charisma does not indicate permanent membership - failure to follow standard requirements will indicate that the trial member is not interested in becoming a full member of ZC.

We are currently looking for the following classes:
- Anyone of exceptional skill

Our official recruiter is Buslink. You may inquire with him for any questions you have. There will be other ZC members who take an active interest in your application. If you're already guilded and would like to keep your app private, simply send your completed application in a PM to Buslink.

Name - Role Class

Harblz - DPS Death Knight
Harblz - Tank Death Knight
Heablz - Disc Priest
or even
Heablz - Heals Priest

If you fail to follow these very, VERY simple instructions on applications, your application will be noted, deleted and ignored. If you can't understand the concept of copy pasting into a new thread, we can't expect you to understand a boss fight.

Format: Please post your responses to all questions in a different color, it makes reading so much easier, I suggest orange or green.

In-Game Name:

Armory Link (Type it as a URL please. Paste your profile, highlight it and click URL above this box):

Intended Raid Spec:

Previous Guilds and Reason for leaving (be honest):

WOTLK End-game experience:

BC End-game experience:

Pre-BC (Vanilla) End-game experience:

Vent, do you have it? Will you talk? Are you at least able to respond?:

Do you react well under pressure?:

Do you know your class well enough to be confident in the decisions you make while raiding and do you have the patience required to learn new encounters? Basically, why should you get a raid spot over others?:

When it comes time to do so are you willing to take the gear that best suits your raid-role (whether it's healing/dps/tanking/etc) and spend the points?:

Do you "lag" in raid environments (Again, be honest. This applies to both FPS and latency)?:

Are you going to be in this guild for the long-term (Long term being more than a month)?:

Are you willing to post on the forums or deny the calendar invite for days that you will be absent? Are you going to make at least 2 raids per week?

Why do you want to join Zero Charisma? Who referred you?:

Also, for ++application points, post a screenshot of your UI (user interface) and/or a 5 minute recount dps meter. I guarantee you if we see this amount of dedication in your application we'll make our decision much faster.

We will scrutinize your armory, including your spec, stat, gem, and enchant choices. A brief visit to will give you enough information to properly gear and spec up your character. We shouldn't need to do this for you.

If you have any questions, send a message in-game to Miorra, Buslink, or Harblz.

(07/04/10) Post edited and posts deleted etc. Locked this thread. If you have any questions PM me or talk to me in-game as Harblz / Buttchuckles.

Stolen from Ayizan (Lessa):

How to Post an App that Gets Accepted:

- Use full, complete sentences, in English, with proper punctuation and grammar.
- Don't be afraid to list your faults and explain how you overcome them. We're more likely to accept you if you admit you're missing an enchant or gem if you clarify that you're working on it now.
- Don't lie. We'll find out.
- If you can't afford enchants/gems, then you can't afford the cost of repairs from wiping on new content. It's a sign that indicates you're more likely to be one of those ninja-loggers who leaves after 2-3 wipes. We don't need charity cases who can't pay their own repair bills after one boss.

A good applicant will have the following:

acceptable gear for the instances currently in progress (ie, blues are ok for a Naxx level guild - greens are not ok for an Ulduar guild)

a complete, well thought out application

knowledge of own class, enough to properly and completely gem, spec and enchant to the best of his/her ability

DKP system. Once I find the real thread I'll update this, but int he mean time WoWWiki works.

We use the EPGP dkp system:

This system essentially awards people for their time invested in rating. Your DKP is Effort points (EP, 4000 per hour raided) divided by your Gear Points (GP).

For example, say you had 100,000 EP (25 hours worth of raiding) and you picked up gear equal to 2,000 gear points.

100,000 EP / 2,000 GP = 50 PR

If you want a piece of gear, when it is linked you say "In". If you have the most PR points out of all the guild members (main spec, of course) you win the item, and it is added to your gear points. Ayizan keeps track of all the guild member's points and does a damn good job at it. You as a guild member do not have to do anything other than show up on time, and for the duration of the raid, and you will eventually get all the gear you deserve. If you have any questions talk to Miorra, Ayizan, Buslink, or Harblz (myself).
